Wedding Cakes

Well it has been a busy start to the Wedding season. I will try and add the newest Wedding cakes as I have made them but here is the start. My last cake has been a Peonies Rose Wedding Cake and even if I do say it myself it is beautiful. I was so happy with the flowers and the overall beauty of the cake. My next cake was the Frangipani Wedding Cake which was a classic Beauty. The next Cake we used Fresh White Roses and I made the Bride and Groom topper for the cake. This was followed by my Love Hearts Wedding Cake and the list goes on.

Butterfly Cake

In the last two weeks I have done two Butterfly Cakes. One was for an 18 year old and the other a 14 year old. Both of the cakes had different colour schemes.
I found the cakes to be a simple but classic look. I formed the Butterflies, in greeting cards over night, whilst they dried. See for yourself what you think of them both?I have just done a third and forth cake with the butterflies on them, this time my client wanted the Butterflies Swirling across the cakes as if in flight, which I do believe they do look like they are in flight.

Wedding Cake

This is my latest Wedding Cake, it was the first time I applied frills to a cake and the overall look is very effective and very Red. My young couple were getting married in a Night Club and the room they were in was called the red room.

So you can understand the colours and Bec and Luke  wanted the cake to be bold as they are and represent them. The Bride and Groom figures were made by me as well

Dinosaur Cake

This is my newest childrens cake, the Dinosaur Bodies are cake but the rest is icing. The inside of the main cake is a layered mud with 4 layers alternating White Chocolate Raspberry Swirl and Milk Chocolate Mud with a Milk Chocolate Ganache between and surrounding the cake.
I had a lot of fun putting the cake together, the Dinosaurs went together really well

Allens Lollies Cake

I was asked to do this cake for Allens Lollies. Nestle wanted an Edible image of Allens in the centre of the cake.Nestle then wanted that image surrounded by Allens Lollies. I put the snakes on the sides of the cake  all running in the same seething direction. It was a lot of fun to make and I promise not too many of the Lollies ended up in my mouth ha ha.Write your post here.

Sponge Bob Cake

I was really happy with how my Sponge Bob Cake turned out. It is a fairly basic shape, which I carved out of a 12" square cake. I used circular cutters at the side to carve out the sponge shape and then came the fun part Ganaching and decorating. Reagards AnitaWrite your post here.

21st Birthday Cakes

Lately I have done quite a few 21st Birthday Cakes, I thought I would group them together to show you the variations in cakes. Thats what makes this job so interesting, everyone has different ideas and I love that. regards Anita

Baby Shower Cake

This is a display cake I made for the Bakery last week. Ive been wanting to make a cake with a clothes line on it and a backyard scene, so I came up with this. The cake is a very pale beige but when I added the pink items on the side of the cake,
the beige has a pinky tinge to it now.
The crying baby was made out of RTR Icing.
What do you think?

Australian Native Flowers Cake

These are a few of the Australian Natives that I have made for cakes. They are a lot of work but in the end what they do for your cake, makes them look brilliant. I can say that my favourite was the Grevillea flower on the last cake, it was also the hardest one to make, as it was so fidelly.

Mickey Mouse Cake

This Mickey Mouse Cake ended upbeing a striking cake and I think rather handsome as was the young man{REID} I made it for.I stuck with Mickey Mouse colours on the three tiers with the middle tier having scenes of the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse on it. Each tier was a different flavoured Mud variety and it was a huge cake the base was a 12" and the middletier was a 10"so plenty of cake to go around
